Whilst we wait for the chicks to hatch and Spring to arrive, we've been spending the last month thinking about how great geese are!
Now before you think we've lost the plot, did you know that when geese fly in a V they can move faster and keep flying 8 times longer than any one bird flying alone.
What do we learn from this? Quite simply, we are better together than alone.

Tanya Raabe
I'm having the the time of my life (Artist, Tanya Raabe).
This month we throw the spotlight on Tanya Raabe in our case study as she works at Tate Modern and Tate Liverpool.
Tanya believes in the power of artists being together and this has helped her through the highs and lows in her career.
She's very good at connecting with people, painting them, talking to them and sharing her ideas on Facebook and on her website, and as a result, more and more people are finding out about her.
She really is having the time of her life.

Leading as an artist
For our future to remain bright, we need artists to be leaders ...(Dr. Robert Cutietta).
So can we lead as artists? If we believe that artists allow us to see the world differently then that's an important thing. It's about leadership and not about being the boss or having a good job. It's about changing the way people feel and changing our world.
Many artists don't like to see themselves as leaders and they think leading is a bit odd and not for them, but if their work is wonderful and they inspire us, we can't help but follow them.
We are keen to find out whether you feel more like a leader now than you did when you first joined Sync. Let us know.
Sync- Intensives and Placements
I can't wait to start engaging in the Sync process, working with a coach and meeting the other people who will be accompanying me on this journey.

We are delighted to have chosen our Sync Intensive 15 and in the same breath feel disappointed that we were unable to run a programme for 20 this time round.
We are delighted that Theresa Kiyota Rahman de Swiet will start her Sync Leadership Placement at the Whitechapel Gallery in London and that Deepa Shastri will be starting her time at London 2010 soon too. They join the Sync Intensive Programme as part of this.
What's different this time round is that many of those on Sync Intensives will be writing their own case studies and articles for future monthly bulletins.
We have always wanted Sync to belong to our members and now our members get to write for Sync too
Next month, Sync Intensive member Rachel Bagshaw will be taking up the pen! Rachel is currently working as Training and Learning Projects Manager at GraeaeTheatre Company. Watch this space.
