Anyone interested in an all expenses paid apprenticeship program that will be held this year at the SILVERDOCS International Documentary Film Festival, the largest event of its kind co-hosted by AFI (the American Film Institute) and the Discovery Channel?
This program was created for emerging and aspiring filmmakers with disabilities in partnership with VSA Arts, the disability outreach program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington, DC. Participants are provided with travel, room, board and VIP registration for the entire festival and conference and gain entry to workshops and parties attended by industry leaders, filmmakers, distributors and more.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18-30 and have a disability. This year organizers are hoping to grant apprenticeships to two international applicants as well so encourage people the world over to come out. All the information you need can be found at: http://www.vsarts.org/x6042.xml
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS MARCH 12TH.
